For a civil ceremony, upto 130. For a sit down meal, upto 160. For an evening reception, or more informal wedding breakfast upto 230.
How far in advance should we book the venue?
A venue should be booked as soon as you are certain you have found the ideal location for your wedding day.
How do we make a booking?
Contact our Wedding Coordinator who can provisionally hold a date for up to 14 days for you. During this time, a non-refundable and non-transferrable deposit of £500 will need to be paid to confirm the date of your wedding. At the same time as paying your deposit, you will need to sign our Terms and Conditions.
What if we want to get married at Woodland Waters?
We are fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies. We recommend that you provisionally book a date with us then contact the Registration Services Centre on 01522 782244. Once they have confirmed your date and time, get in touch with us to pay the deposit
Where would the civil ceremony take place?
The ceremony would take place in The Malden Suite.
Is the cost of a civil ceremony included in the room hire or wedding packages?
No it is not. There is an additional room hire charge payable to ourselves. There is also a separate fee payable to the registrar directly.
Will non-wedding guests be able to use the facilities?
The Malden Suite is completely self contained, with its own private bar, toilet facilities and floodlit patio area.
Woody’s Bar and Lakeview Restaurant will be open to non-wedding guests.
When do we meet again with the Wedding Coordinator?
Once your wedding is confirmed, our Wedding Coordinator will be on hand to help with anything to do with the organising and planning of your big day and will contact you to arrange meetings at appropriate times in the build up to your wedding. You can of course arrange a meeting at any time if you wish to.
Does the room hire charge include decorations?
The room hire charge includes ivory table cloths and napkins, cutlery, glasses and gold chairs. Any additional decoration is more than welcome, please ask our Wedding Coordinator if you require any contact details.
Can we decorate the room the day before our wedding?
This depends on any other functions taking place. Our Wedding Coordinator will contact you to let you know if it is possible.
What happens when we arrive on our wedding day?
For civil ceremonies, the groom will be at the venue 30 minutes before the ceremony to have an interview with the registrars. Once this is complete, he and all other guests will be shown to the Malden Suite to await the arrival of the bride. The bride will be met by our Wedding Coordinator and
taken to have her interview with the registrars before being taken to the Malden Suite for the ceremony.
If you are not having a ceremony at Woodland Waters, your guests will be shown to the patio area behind the Malden Suite. The bride and groom will be met by our Wedding Coordinator who will show them to the Malden Suite to ensure everything is as they want it, before being shown to the patio area.
We would like arrival drinks, where would these be?
This is very much dependant on the weather. Our aim would be to use the patio area behind the Malden Suite. Should this not be possible, an area in Woody’s Bar will be set for arrival drinks.
Where can we have photographs taken?
Photographs may be taken anywhere within the grounds of Woodland Waters. Time for this will be allocated after your arrival and before the wedding breakfast.
Do we offer our guests a choice of meal?
We recommend that you offer no more than three choices per course for your guests to choose from. If your guests are offered a choice, we will need a breakdown of the number of each item ordered.
What meals do you offer for children?
We have a separate children’s menu, suitable for those up to 12 years old.
What if we don’t want a sit down meal?
This is no problem. We have menus for BBQs, Hog Roasts and Buffets as an alternative
Can we bring our own caterers?
With the exception of the wedding cake, this is not something we allow at Woodland Waters.
How do we decide what time to eat?
Our Wedding Coordinator will guide you on this. All timings will be based on the time of your wedding and will allow time for arrival drinks and photographs before your meal and time for us to refresh the room before the evening reception.
We would like to offer food in the evening but are not sure how many people will want to eat?
Food for the evening can be difficult to judge. We allow you to cater for a minimum of 80% of the numbers expected.
What time does the evening reception start?
We aim to have the room ready for 7.30pm with the disco starting at the same time.
What time does the reception finish?
The bar will close and music end at midnight. You can extend the bar until 1am by paying an additional fee.
